  • Ron Paul #1 in support from Military

According to TheSpinFactor, Ron Paul has the largest support from people actually affiliated with the military. This is to differentiate from those dilettantes who avoided serving in the military and want to tell others to go kill people for them. The results are

    Percentages:

    52.53% Ron Paul
    35.4% McCain
    7.9% Romney
    5.2% Rudy
    2.2% Hunter
    2.6% Others

Guess this presents a problem for the NeoCons, who claim that they have the support of the military, when really it’s the Military-Industrial complex (that Dwight D. Eisenhower warned about) that supports them. You know the same people who oppose allowing the side by side testing of body armor to ensure that the soldiers actually have decent protection in combat.
Of course, reality has no place in the news, so this too shall be ignored.

One Response to “Ron Paul #1 in support from Military”

  1. I, for one, having served in the United States Navy, the Naval Reserve, the United States Army, and I am currently serving as a Commissioned Officer in the Army National Guard, am sick and tired of the crap that gets fielded to soldiers, marines, sailors, and airman. The amount of money that gets tossed away by graft, fraud, and simple ignorance is insane. HMMWVs seem cool, but once you get past the honeymoon phase, they are not the best vehicle for the job. The M-16, M-4, whatever…crappy round that is NOT designed to kill your enemy – just wound him (or her). Interceptor body armor (IBA) the most common body armor that the Army and Marines use in the AOR in the Middle East, guareented to stop a military 9mm ball round at 50 meters! put in the extremely awkward trauma plates and you can up the potection factor to one (1) non-armor piercing rifle round, as long as you have not dropped the plates on a hard surface such as the ground as you dive for cover…
Just my opinion! Seems like there needs to be a change from the status quo to something that we have lost along the way.
