  • Apparently some people feel that it is their right to have sex with someone after dinner. One 77 year old man sued a 19 year old woman who refused to have sex with him. Apparently she found him a little too old. Story at Der Spiegel.  I guess that might be a reason why there are date rape laws.

  • There’s a saying you never appreciate what have until you lose it. I think the same thing is true about freedom. While we still have some freedom, after this election even that will probably be gone.

That is, unless Ron Paul wins the election.  Unfortunately many people may not even be aware that he is running.

But surely, that can’t be the case, you might exclaim. Well, according to this press release from the Ron Paul Campaign:

On the evening of December 28, Jared Chicoine and Jordan Brown of our New Hampshire campaign staff met in person with Fergus Cullen the New Hampshire GOP chairman to discuss whether or not Dr. Paul would be invited to participate in the forum. Mr. Cullen confirmed there will be an event on January 6, but he could not confirm whether or not Dr. Paul would be invited. We also learned the event would not be a debate with an audience, but instead would be a forum in a closed studio with the candidates questioned only by Chris Wallace of Fox News.

Note that this is a decision by Fox News, not the New Hampshire GOP, which has issued this release:

“Limiting the number of candidates who are invited to participate in debates is not consistent with the tradition of the first in the nation primary. The level playing field requires that all candidates be given an equal opportunity to participate – not just a select few determined by the media prior to any votes being cast.”

“Therefore, the New Hampshire Republican Party calls upon all media organizations planning pre-primary debates or forums for both parties to include all recognized major candidates in their events.”

“The New Hampshire Republican Party has notified FOX News of our position, and we are in ongoing discussions with FOX News about having as many candidates as possible participate in the forum scheduled for January 6.”

But it’s not just Fox News, CBS also is working to marginalize Dr. Paul. As evidenced by this picture (from NolanChart.com):

    CBS selectees

And of course there was the Meet the Press (character) assassination attempt on Ron Paul. Where Tim Russert, in marked contrast to his good natured meeting with Obama and Huckabee, spent 32 minutes going over what Ron Paul has said in the last 30 years, even using hear say and other questionable statements, and not allowing Dr. Paul to respond.

In short there’s a war for your mind, but most people are all too willing to sit this out and hope that things will be fine.

I can’t see how things are going to get better unless people make a change. For instance I just found out that Dominick’s (actually Safeway) has 18 count normal eggs for $5.99. Gas prices are high, but the cause of all this is only being addressed by Ron Paul, and that is the devaluation of the currency. For a more in depth discussion of the issue of money, I recommed America: From Freedom to Fascism, by Aaron Russo.

Even the Washington Times has started to issue warnings about the thought police according to this article:

Congress is perched to enact the “Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act of 20007 (Act),” probably the greatest assault on free speech and association in the United States since the 1938 creation of the House Un-American Activities Committee (HUAC). Sponsored by Rep. Jane Harman, California Democrat, the bill passed the House of Representatives on Oct. 23 by a 404-6 vote under a rule suspension that curtailed debate. To borrow from House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, California Democrat, the First Amendment should not distract Congress from doing important business. The Senate companion bill (S. 1959), sponsored by Susan Collins, Maine Republican, has encountered little opposition. Especially in an election year, senators crave every opportunity to appear tough on terrorism. Few if any care about or understand either freedom of expression or the Thought Police dangers of S. 1959. Former President John Quincy Adams presciently lamented: “Democracy has no forefathers, it looks to no posterity, it is swallowed up in the present and thinks of nothing but itself.”Denuded of euphemisms and code words, the Act aims to identify and stigmatize persons and groups who hold thoughts the government decrees correlate with homegrown terrorism, for example, opposition to the Patriot Act or the suspension of the Great Writ of habeas corpus.

But don’t worry, you will still be able to get prozac, so everything will be happy.

It’s a rare occasion that a true paradigm shift is presented. The election of Ron Paul would be the biggest paradigm shift in the United States in the last 100 years. The alternative is a world of mega corporations where the only freedom you have is that which you can buy.

Of course, the mega corporations have their choices, but we still have a chance to make a difference, at least for now.

Support Freedom, vote for Ron Paul.

  • According to this article by Curt Maynard at Whatreallyhappened.com, Curt has documented how AOL has been manipulating it’s polls to skew results against Dr. Ron Paul.  For some people this doesn’t come as much of a surprise, but it’s still good to have documentation of manipulation of results.

The sad thing is that we are somewhat at the mercy of electronic vote counting, and as such we have no real meaningful say in the governance of this country.  I still encourage people to vote, but I fear that the results may have already been decided on by those that control the vote counting.

  • Over at the New York Slimes, there is a retraction of sorts about the Ron Paul links to Socialists story. Even Bill White has (supposedly) backpedaled a bit with the following comment:

I have never met Benton, but Singleton is lying.

He met me at a dinner where I was the speaker and I was discussing Jewish influence and conspiracy in the media, particularly in relation to the firing of Joe Sobran. As a result of this discussion, and others he and I participated in, the topics of which were the Zionist occupation and the neo-conservative war plans, I was invited to speak to Daniel McAdams, Ron Paul’s foreign policy aide at the time, and was invited to several other dinners, one of which was attended by Paul himself.

Any other story from the Ron Paul campaign is a complete lie.

    — Posted by Bill White

Note how it changed from several meetings of White with Ron Paul on a regular basis to one meeting now. Even Bill White can’t keep track of his own story, so why should anyone believe someone who praised the Columbine Shootings:

Seeing this as an opportunity to gain media attention, Bill White publicly applauded the shooters and called for support of their actions:

“We have to remember that people who go and shoot up their schools are not acting as tyrants here. These are oppressed people who are struggling against society and who are now fighting society in the only way they know how. These students have spent their lives tortured by society, and now they are fighting back. We have to admire them for doing it. How many of us will ever fight back?”

White even claimed back in 2000:

Ten years of political activism in: street-level anti-racist, anti-police brutality, free-speech, youth issues and issues of liberty in the public schools, anti-war/anti-imperialism.

Bill White is a professional manipulator, which is probably why the New York Slimes likes him so much. Birds of a feather and all that.

I am not saying that Bill White didn’t meet with someone who worked for Ron Paul, and even that he might have gotten into a meeting where Ron Paul was present, but anything he says is highly suspect, because he can’t keep his stories straight from day to day.

From a Washington Post story in 1996, White is quoted:

“You should be able to write what you want on the Internet, whether it’s true or not,” William A. White, 18, said in a telephone interview yesterday

Nice guy, maybe the Slimes will offer him a job now.

  • Ron Paul refutes the perfect Lincoln arguments on Morning Joe:

Get the Flash Player to see this player.

Gee how wrong can you be and still get paid the SEVEN figures that these media darlings get paid. For instance, regarding the bombing in Pakistan see this article. For a better discussion of Lincoln I recommend the articles by Thomas DiLorenz or his book “The Real Lincoln“.  David Knowles over Aol NewsBloggers also agrees that Lincoln didn’t go to war to free the slaves.

Of course the talking heads say that they are right, and everyone else is wrong, nah, nah, a nah nah.

  • The New York Slimes magazine has an article written by 20 something professional hack (who probably makes a good living spreading mistruths that are poorly researched) Virgina Hefferman.   While the so called article is actually just a rehasing of the previous lies that were spread by Bill W H I T E and were debunked by Justin Raimodo in his article at Antiwar.com, the comments to the article are quite interesting.

I often wonder what life would be like if I didn’t feel some sense of personal morality.  Apparently there is quite a market for professional con artists and other creators of fiction purporting to be fact.

  • Russert had Ron Paul on today, he asked questions like, “You consider yourself a strict constructionist, how does that match with you wanting a constitutional amendment”.

Russert continues using statements from 20 years ago as if they represent the current platform that Ron Paul has.  He gets newspaper articles from 20 years ago, and uses indirect quotes to put words into Ron Paul’s mouth.

In other words, Tim Russert’s interview was a smear job, a well researched psy-op to discredit Ron Paul.

Tim Russert would cut off Ron Paul when he was trying to explain statements, twist words around, and use other tactics that are very slick.

In other words, this was the first and last time I will watch meet the press, and only confirms my belief that NBC is the loyal opposition, with little to differentiate it from Faux News.

  • Over at TechPresident, there are different charts of how the different candidates web stats are, Facebook, Meetup, YouTube, etc. Ron used to show 8.3 million YouTube viewers but the result today is a little different:

    Ron Paul has zero viewers

That’s right, Ron Paul has gone from 8.3 million views, to zero! Ron Paul has been erased from the stats, just as he has been erased from the polls.

Nice to see how the Ron Paul train is being derailed, soon we won’t even be able to Google Ron Paul.

Remember to vote, get your friends to vote, your family to vote, even strangers to vote. Because this election does matter.

  • I’ve been wondering about some of the attacks against Ron Paul, of course there is the “Official MSM Guide to Attacking Ron Paul“, but there are other sites, like “Tell me why Ron Paul can win in 2008″, and of course the Ron Paul is a racist, or that Ron Paul had his picture taken with this person or that person of ill repute.

I am sure that there are many people who love socialism and therefore hate Ron Paul (note that NAZI stands for National Socialist) but some people just want to generate revenue, so they write crack pot articles that attack/question Ron Paul’s candidacy. What surprises me is that it consistently works.

Neo Nazi sites have seen a surge in traffic because of the coverage given them by the ADL, et al. It’s like those that make a living because of hate and distrust feed off each other, without each other they are both irrelevant.

Ron Paul’s message is about bringing people together, but there is no reason to go and visit someone’s website to “convince them” that Ron Paul will win the election, because they are just trying to get some coverage or make money. Why feed their kitty? If they can create a web page, they could read/watch all the coverage that shows the real support Ron Paul has.

  • John Zogby, of Zogby International, a polling company, has said in a recent article on NewsMax.com that:

Ron Paul: He’s going to do better than anyone expects

Is this a tacit admission that the traditional polling methods might be off? I don’t think that Zogby is friendly to Ron Paul, what I think is that he is protecting his income stream, by predicting something that his own polls had tacitly showed, even though the headline was skewed.

  • From WhatReallyHappened.com, there is this article about the forces behind the latest smears on Ron Paul. It’s not unusual for front men to be paid to stage these divisive tactics. For instance the FBI funded a Neo Nazi for a period according to InformationLiberation.com:

A paid FBI informant was the man behind a neo-Nazi march through the streets of Parramore that stirred up anxiety in Orlando’s black community and fears of racial unrest that triggered a major police mobilization.

That revelation came Wednesday in an unrelated federal court hearing and has prompted outrage from black leaders, some of whom demanded an investigation into whether the February 2006 march was, itself, an event staged by law-enforcement agencies.

The FBI would not comment on what it knew about the involvement of its informant, 39-year-old David Gletty of Orlando, in the neo-Nazi event. In court Wednesday, an FBI agent said the bureau has paid its informant at least $20,000 during the past two years.

I’ve also gotten *unconfirmed* reports from a person who claims to have run the dinner that Bill White (if that is his real name) if he came to the dinners couldn’t have met with Ron Paul, because Ron Paul wasn’t at the dinners and if Bill White was there, he used an alias.

Which is nothing new for “Bill White” according to OnePeoplesProject:

He got his fifteen minutes of fame with this group during the Columbine tragedy by reportedly saying the two shooters were part of a cell of his group and that there will be more shootings to follow.

Of course NONE of this will be reported, instead we will see how these news organizations want Ron Paul to reward the neo nazis with a $500 donation from the campaign (the liars in the MSM claim it’s a refund, but it’s a reward for bad behavior). What possible idiot would think that giving money back to to such a group is a good thing?

Did the Southern Poverty Law Center give the money that they won in their 2000 lawsuit back to Neo Nazi’s? No they kept whatever they could get, and Ron Paul by keeping the money is doing the same thing that SPLC did, taking funds from a questionable group and using them for something else.

The shills against Ron are grasping at straws, but all they have to do is come out with smears and the stupid idiots highly paid reporters (the reporter who allegedly punched a cop in the face made $700,000 a year + expenses) will report those, while IGNORING the actual support, substance and truth that is part of the Ron Paul movement. In other words, the media will continue to sell people shit, and tell them it’s chocolate ice cream.

And the sad truth is that many Americans will believe it.

  • Aimee Allen has come out with a fantastic Ron Paul song, and had this to say on her blog about the Ron Paul stance on abortion:

Also, I’ve gotten a few emails from women asking why I would support him considering his stance on abortion…. Ron Paul wants the decision to be left up to the states…and ultimately overturn Roe Vs Wade taking it out of the federal governments jurisdiction. Now this is a touchy and very difficult one for me. With my women’s studies background and my devoutness to liberty and a touch of knowledge of a certain conspiracy theory…I find myself in a real quandary. I go round and round and round and round with myself and God concerning this. Spiritually, I believe that God is love and has no judgement on either side of the issue. I could fervently defend both pro-choice and pro-life til I passed out and would never come to any resolve. I also believe that giving this to the states to decide..and maybe having to drive to another state…is what comes along with liberty from this oppressive Fed. But again, I believe very strongly on both sides…… So I have to shift my focus to priorities this election of the big picture, that I know no other candidate is talking about in a real way. For example, the war, the loss of Habeas Corpus, free speech zones, Fema, the impending economic crisis, our SLAVERY to the IRS, the unconstitutionality of the federal reserve, our taxes going to subsidize China, the Patriot Act, our degraded and degrading civil liberties, nation building at the expense of our own sovereignty, serious concerns over CFR, NAFTA,WTO, CAFTA, NAU, and the push for one world government, War on drugs (people should go to hospitals, not prisons) government corruption and the power hungry elite owning the media, Our jobs leaving this country at an astounding rate, rich Saudi families buying our banks and massive stock in micro-chip technology, the Federal government poisoning it’s citizens with fucked vaccines and food and drugs. There is no real checks and balance for the FDA since pharmaceutical companies are allowed to pay them off. No child left behind….speaking of.. I’m concerned with the over all trend in this country to rely on the federal government to take care of us (control us) from cradle to grave. They are not supposed to be “Big Mother” and if they were our mother…with how abusive they are, any child activist would take us from her immediately and give us to the custody of the state! :)
I mean… how crazy is it that wanting to preserve the Constitution has now become revolutionary?! If these issues are not addressed in this election, in the years to come,I fear we won’t have the freedom to even DISCUSS whether the government is right or wrong about anything without fear of imprisonment, penalty, being called a terrorist or lending yourself to wire-tapping……

Speaking of which…my cell-phone, myspace, and computer have all been hacked since I put up the song……go figure.

I find it strange that the most anti Ron Paul person I know is a man who claims that it’s because he cares about women’s right to choose. Things that make you go hmmm….

  • At this time of year, I just want to remind people that Best Buy is anti customer. A recent story that came my way via WhatReallyHappened.com is at Crimes and Corruption…:

The surveillance video from inside the Daytona Beach Best Buy has the American Civil Liberties Union up in arms. The police officer said she used the taser to calm the irate and upset woman down.Daytona Beach’s police chief is defending his officer’s actions. Chief Michael Chitwood said his officer acted appropriately when she tased an allegedly unruly customer at the Best Buy. The entire incident was caught on store surveillance. In the video, 35-year-old Elizabeth Beeland is visible as she allegedly causes a commotion at the entrance to the store after being confronted about the use of a suspect credit card that was actually her’s

This follows another Best Buy that had a shopper arrested for not producing an ID card (link). And my own experience at a Best Buy of the security guy yelling and locking all the other people in the store because I wouldn’t let him search me (how it stopped me, I don’t understand, but it seemed insane to me). I was outside of the store and he was locking the doors (at one of the busiest Best Buys in the country).

Best buy even ran a fake rip off site for their customers (link).

Best Buy doesn’t want your business, so why would you want to do business with them?

  • Ron Paul’s campaign website is going neck and neck with CBS News according to Alexa (h/t WhatReallyHappened.com). RonPaul2008.com had more reach than CBS News on Dec 16 and 17th, and was fighting to stay in the lead. Makes you wonder if Katie’s idea to marginalize Ron Paul was such a bright idea after all.

“Well everything fell apart in court today. I had to enroll my two oldest in public school. … If I didn’t the judge said I would lose custody of my children. He threw out the plea and we go to trial on January 9th. I have NO CHANCE with this judge. He will find me guilty. He already has. So I will probably be spending some time in jail. Please pray for my children,” she noted in an online forum connected to a “Five In A Row” homeschool curriculum she had used when her children were younger.

The woman fled the State of Utah (in the United States) because she faces prison for a paperwork glitch. The Judge, a supposed conservative republican, is totally anti homeschooling, claiming that it fails 100% of the time.

It amazes me that so called conservatives cry about these issues, and then go and support Christian socialists like the Huckster. What we need is to restore the constitution and allow people to have the freedom to choose for themselves.

  • From the US News and World Reports:

that candidates like Huckabee, John Edwards, John McCain, and Ron Paul, who have had some recent success with voters but have trailed in raising funds, may have a hard time keeping up after February

Now this is just misleading. Ron Paul is doing better and better, and there have been no real votes yet, so we don’t know who has had any real success with the voters. Ron Paul has broken fund raising records, but US Lies and Fake Reports has him gasping for money.

So lie, lie and lie again seems to be the mantra of the Lame Stream Media.

  • While I love TotalCommander, I sometimes would like to use a program on SOMEONE else’s computer. Since Total Commander is shareware (and a good program) I am a little leery of just installing it for other people. In that case, I use Free CommanderFree Comander (which has less features, but is free).
